Fine Art

Fine Art is difficult to describe, but at the same time, fairly easy. In the past, discussions have raged as to what should and should not be referred to as Fine Art.

In its simplest terms, it is something that the artist has imagined and not just an exact representation of a subject.

It could be a thought or emotion formed by the artist at the time of making the image, by framing the shot in a particular way, or exposing in such a way as to give the effect desired by the artist.

Or it could be a thought process as the image is developed during post processing, perhaps by a certain crop, or by adding an effect such as texture, during the processing.

I like to try both methods, during the making of the image and in post production process, with the addition of textures and other effects.

In any event, I believe Fine Art Photography is all about letting your imagination run wild.
